TEENAGE KICKS

Transcribed by: STAMATIS VLASSOPOULOS

Email: S.P.Vlassopoulos@bradford.ac.uk

NOTES: The song opens with the drums, so the guitar part starts from the
second bar. I've writen the chords in TAB, and the time values
(rhythem) above the tab. The song is quite easy to play.
I haven't transcribed the solos but the D# blues scale should do
for both. Distortion is essential.

Notes:
Low E is tuned down to D.
I have not included the rhythm as I think you should be able to work it
out.
I have not worked out the solos yet. Anyone know them?
Here are the lyrics:
Verse 1.
Are teenage dreams so hard to beat?
Every time she walks down the street.
Another girl in the neighbourhood.
I wish she was mine, she looks so good.
Chorus.
I wanna hold her, wanna hold her tight.
Get teenage kicks right through the night. (alright)
Verse 2.
I'm gonna call her on the telephone,
Have her over 'cos I'm all alone.
I need excitement, oh I need it bad,
And it,s the best I've ever had.

Playing order:
V1, chorus, V2, chorus, solo1, V1, chorus, V2, chorus ,solo2, chorus.

I hope this is okay.
