"In My Dreams with You" by Steve Vai From the Album: Sex and Religion Tabbed by Adam Rice
Howdy y'all! This is one of my favorite Steve Vai songs, so I decided to sit down and figure out how to play as much as possible. Some of the orchestration of the synths and guitars gets quite complex, but I did my best to figure out how to play the tune! I didn't use any special tabbing software to create this, I just made a few bars and then copied and pasted, so hopefully it will still work for everyone. This song is fairly simple to play with the exception of most of the pick scrapes; primarily, those found in the intro. Keep in mind this is my interpretation, and that there are tons of ways to get equivalent pitches all over the neck. Feel free to send your comments to me at: adamrice@musician.org
a few notes on my notation: X = scratch with fret hand palm or pick = slide towards bridge / = slide towards nut P.H. = Pinch Harmonic P.M. = Palm Muting ~~~~ = vibrato V = sweep pick (high to low strings) 22b(24)b(22) = bend to 24th fret, release to original pitch p = pull off h = hammer on

there is some weird harmonist effect on this and it pans left and right until about :20
